Some Inspiration for a Rainy Day...

Yesterday there was a very inspirational article in the Globe and Mail sports section about an athlete born with a physical defect. Kevin Laue, the 6-foot-11, 19 year old, born without a left hand, from Pleasanton, Calif., is now a freshman at Manhattan College. Afer years of being told that no matter how hard he played, he'd never be good enough, he has earned a scholarship to play center for the Jaspers, a Division I basketball team in the United States this November.

Mr. Laue was in seventh grade when he first became interested in basketball. A friend suggested he try out for his school's team but he didn't make the cut. This didn't stop Laue from trying again and eventually, he did make the team. Click on the link to watch him play.

Everyone of us has dealt with setback and misfortune in life and the story of Kevin Laue is an inspiration to any young athlete struggling to meet their next challenge. Read the full article here.
