Yesterday in the streets of three major cities across Colorado, spontaneous mobs of people broke out into coordinated aerobic fitness routines over the lunch hour, all in an attempt to encourage healthy eating and active living. LiveWell Colorado, a non-profit organization committed to reducing obesity by inspiring healthy eating and active living, coordinated the flash mobs to ignite enthusiasm for the launch of its “Challenge” campaign which encourages Coloradoans to challenge each other and their communities to live well. Perhaps you could encourage your students to do a "Fitness Challenge" campaign in their own school, neighborhood or community. They could use fitness charts to create a neighborhood circuit and have everyone in their community or school get out and do a fitness blast together!
